This is really weird but here goes,
I got my hamster on July 21st of 2006. She's a golden hamster and also my first pet ever. Just a little while ago, she started to wake up at about 5 in the afternoon and have what seemed like a hamster spaz attack. Then, after an hour or two, she would simply go back to sleep and the same routine would happen over and over again. This has never happened and the only other time she has been sick was when she got a cold in August 2006. I am worried and am wondering if this is bad.

I would advise you to take her to the vet's, just to dispel any doubts on her condition. As a general pick-me-up, you might want to add a little bit of fresh raw fruit (apple for instance), or raw veg (cucumber or carrot) to her diet. Hamsters like a bit of variety.
I have a golden hamster too, mine is called Boris and he was born in October 2005. If well looked after, golden hamsters live on average for 2 and a half years, some even 3 years.
Maybe it's the food she's eating, you should check the label or bring her into PetSmart or somewhere like that and ask them.
id say take her to the vet
Don't worry it is normal.
It isn't a hampster from Vietnam is it. They usualy do this. they call it flashbacks.
when i was younger, i had about a million hamsters, honestly mine never lasted as long as your has.. so i wish you nothing but luck with it.. i hope for your sake that you just lucked out with the oddest hamster ever.. but it could be coming to its last days.. sorry..
Hamsters are ADHD positive. So, its normal
That's a day before my B-Day.
Anyway, if you started touching or holding your hamster when you first got it within a three day period, then this is normal. The hamster will act like this for a while, I doubt it's sick.
sorry fo this morbid thought:
If it dies, the garantee (most of them at least) will let you get a new one, if it hasn't been more than a year since you got it.
