Is this a good cage for a 2 or 3 month old female rat?

Answers:
Pluses - the shelves are solid instead of wire, which will help prevent foot injuries; the wires are close enough together to prevent escape; there are multiple access doors; the bottom tray is deep and will help prevent litter scatter.
Minuses - not a lot of actual useable floor space for a pair of rats (rats are happier with a rattie friend); depending on the size of the cage a full-grown rat might have problems with the size of the tube (2-3 months is not how big she'll be when she grows up); the water bottle seems a little small (you'll be refilling it often); the plastic will get well-chewed and need replacing.
I think it's the right idea, but I think it needs to be larger.
I don't think you're rat will feet into the tubes. The size of the
cage is ok though. It really depends on what activities you want your rat to do.
yeah i guess
why not
I'd say so i have 2 female rats and cage is only a lil bigger than that.
I'd say it is.
Well I think it's a great choice looks like there is plenty of room and thin bars. but if she takes to chewing on them it may drive you nuts lol also I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on breeding her she may have or take her babies to the higher levels where they could fall. But otherwise it looks like a great choice espeacially if she's hyper.
Looks nice cage. According to a cage size calculator, it could home a max of 4 rats. So probably 2-3 bucks or 4 does would be ok, if they get on. Also as mentioned above, the bars have small spacing, so she won't be able to escape. I've read many horror stories on the net about people using ferret cages for young does, not realising how small they are.
Edit after seeing below post: Many sites I've seen say glass tanks are bad for rats, seeing they're prone to respiratory problems, just to bear that in mind. I'm new to rat keeping myself, so am still reading up a lot. See the links I've put as sources, they seem the most helpful to me.
looks okay but they escape easily out of wire and plastic cages you should get a ten or 20 gallon tank and put toys and food bowl and water thing and it will like it. and you will like it because you wont have an escaped rat. also put a lid on top that has small holes on it and put something heavy on top like a brick or heavy rock or stack some books. and its not good for rodents to chew on wire, which your rat probably would.
No, it really does need to be bigger. Especially if you are planning on keeping her and her cage mate in it for a while.
You need at least two feet of floor space for EACH rat.
So, a four ft cage space is great.
