Hi ppl have sed to use Febreeze but i thout air freshners and things harmed the rats respiritory system? How effective is it? Thanks.

It actually will harm them if they breathe it in and it could burn their skin! Also if it gets in their food/water bowl, they could die!

Why do u have pet rats?
remove the rat from the area when you use the febreeze it is bad for the rats system and can be deadly if any of the stuff that is floating in the air ges on their food and then they eat it.
Never use any chemicals to freshen the air around their cage, if it smells, clean the cage. Don't even use bleach to clean out their cage with, it's harmful to them too. Use baking soda instead to clean cage with hot water . You can sprinkle baking soda on your carpets, let sit for 20-30 minutes, then vacuum and it will help remove odors from the carpet in turn freshening the air. Baking soda is so safe we use it in baking.
