Is forti-diet for hamsters healthy for my hamster? if not which food is healthy?

Answers:
I would give my hammy the forti diet hamster food mixed with the rodent/hamster blocks. Its compressed hamster mix formed into a block I liked it because it was hard so my hammy not only got to eat but worked out its knawing urge too. So mixing it gave my hammy a verity and it lasted a long time. I also gave fresh vegies toped with a messured amount of ben bac to help ait in digestion. Also hammys also like timmothy hay for roufage and to snuggle into
any normal hamster mix is healthy. also feed small ammounts of greens, never feed meat as they can become nasty and lots of love and handling hamsters age to only around 2 years but mine lasted 5 and a half
It's an Ok diet. The better option would be the Kaytee pet block. The bag looks almost the same as the forti-diet. The pet block is all that seed food compressed into a block. That way your hammie will be getting all the nutrition of the food in every bite. You'll notice that with the seed diet they will pick and choose what they want out of the bowl and leave the rest.
The blocks will also help wear down their teeth and will help combat wettail.
You will also want to add fresh fruits and veggies to his diet. Carrots, dark leafy greens (romane, kale, spinach, mustard greeens, collard greens), apples, yams, small bits of parsley...to name a few :)
