Is it possible to give a hamster water without a water bottle?

how much would 1 hamster cost in australia??
my budget is around 100 dollars
i want 1 hamster a cage and the stuff it needs
tell if if thats enuf pls..

I don't know about cost in Australia but I own a pet store in the UK and hamsters are sold for 拢5.00 each and you can get a starter set-up for about 拢20.00.
I think that would be about $80.00 Australian for everything.
You can give a hamster a bowl of water but it would soon get full of bedding.

You can use a small crock (dish) for water. It will need to be raised above the flooring otherwise they kick their bedding into the water.

Yes you can use a small dish. My hamsters tip their bowl over so if your hamsters do that you should stick with a water bottle. To find a water bottle look in your local pet shop. My hamster cost 20 dollars

I think that you may have to expand your budget a little bit. You can try putting the water in a bowl, but a bottle is better as it allows the hamster to drink the water without making it dirty or spilling it.

You can, but if you use a crock (Ive had to in emergencies when the water baottle was damaged) they will be prone to getting their bedding and poop in the water.if you do, you need to check the water often, and keep in mind they are most active at night, so thats when the most soiling will be done.
I advise just getting a water bottle, they are cheap. and 100 dollars should be plenty. I got everything in the US for cheap:
$20 tank, $8 food, $4 water bottle, $2 crock, $6 snacks %26 toys, $5 wheel, $4 hamster (price varies).
Of course I've spent more money buying other toys and gnawing items as I go along. Plus replacing things that get worn out.

They cost about 100 dollars depending on how much you pay for on the cage! Some cages come with a water bottle and food dish! It is enough just don't buy a really expensive cage i would get the critter trail2! hope this helps!

the cage will come with one, if you have petsmart there they have it all, the brand is crittertrail, and in the US they are $10-20 for a hamster the cage is $30-40, I don't know what the prices are there.
