Answers:
sounds like it get them fixed in less you wont alot of hamsters
if you put the male and female in a cage together, then the female is probably pregnant. you should have been watching them more closely!!
if she's making a big nest and from what you've seen of her, she hasn't done that before, she may be preparing her home for babies.
keep watching her and if you notice anything different about her (eating more than usual, just in general acting a little odd), you're probably going to get baby hamsters.
she probably is if she is making a nest although its hard to tell from her stomach that she is until a few days away from birth i suggest moving the male out and into something else until after the babies are gone just be patient the babies usually show up 16 days after she becomes pregnant and don't touch the babies until 2 weeeks after they are born (i usually wait 2 wks and 1 day before i touch them) she will make lots of nest and will use a lot of bedding so give a little extra she'll eat and drink a lot too
i love teddy bear hamsters too lol
Well, first of all, the only time you can put two hamsters together is when they are in the mood to mate. Otherwise they will fight till their death. I am pretty sure she is pregnant. I would seperate them. They will kill each other or the babies. This is from trying to so. So I really do know. NEVER PUT ANY RODENTS TOGRTHER. IT DOES NOT WORK. Good Luck.
Yes, she is pregnant. It happens pretty much every time---if you leave two opposite-sex rodents together in a cage for more than ten minutes and they don't kill each other...then the girl ends up pregnant.
Hamster gestation (pregnancy) only lasts a little over two weeks, so if you've already had her a week.you should know in about a week (if she wasn't already pregnant when you got her---that's happened to me several times). Make sure you give her as much water as she wants and a good, varied diet.nuts, a little cheese (not too much because of
the fat), carrots, apples, grapes, (no citrus fruits), along with her usual diet.
So...good luck! (And make sure to leave them alone for the first week after birth, except for adding food and water, of course.)
mabey but it sounds like my hamster and shes not pregnet
it does sound like she is pregnant. but PLEASE!! watch very closely for the next month because there is a possibility that she could eat the babies :( (gross, i no) be very vigilant and look up everything you can on how to take care of the mother an babies.
if shes doing that she probaly is pregnant. only clean her cage when needed, you don't want to disturb a pregnant hamster alot, put fresh food and water in her cage every day when you clean her cage put like 3 or 4 in. of bedding. if shes pregnant and has her babies don't touch them, don't touch them even though its very tempting. until you seperate them... you can't touch them.seperate them from their mother which is a about 1 month old ... YOU HAVE TO SEPERATE THEM BECAUSE HAMTSERS ARE TERRITORIAL EVEN TOWARDS FAMILY . Make sure mommy is as comfy as possible. i had a pregnant hamster and its very hard work
