Is the Pink Princess Castle a good cage for a Syrian hamster?

I think this cage is really cute, and I've seen it assembled and its fairly large:

But I'm wondering: does it stay together? Is the wheel noisy? Will a hamster chew through it? Is it enough space? Thanks in advance. :)

I used to work for Petco, and this one of the most highly returned cages. It's cheaply made, it's easy for them to escape, not enough ventilation, and breakable. I would NOT reccomend any of those "fancy cages" unless you have a chinchilla or ferret that needs the space. Even then, they are pieces of junk. Get a 10-20 gallon tank, with a mesh locking top. Get a stand up wheel, and a water bottle that can hang from the top. Get a ceramic or stainless steel food bowl and your set! Throw some chew sticks in there, and fresh fruit %26 veggies. Make sure to keep the cage clean, every 2-3 weeks. You don't want your hammie getting wet-tail! Fresh cabbage helps prevent this!
Good luck!
only if its a girl hamster, a boy hamster would be offended, nah im just kiddin, i never had luck with all plastic cages as a kid, those hamsters just tr and chew through evreything, and my hamsters would gt out alot
i do not know but if it is from pet co or pets mart than it is sure to be good. i got a walmart brand cage and it sucked, but you might want to get a different wheel those are very nosy, the cage should come with a plastic little circle that should block up the hole when you take the wheel out. get a silent wheel those work very well, it looks like a great cage! make sure to put lots of chew toys inside because there are no bars for the hamster to chew on, and their teeth never stop growing. i have a male syrian hamster and he is very sweet, he loves his new cage. (it is a twenty gallon tank) he kept getting out of his old one because the door broke when i got it. but the princess castle cage looks like a great cage for a syrian hamster.
hope i helped
animals rock!
That's too small for any hamster and has no ventilation. So I wouldn't buy it. The best for a hamster is at least 20 gallon long tank/bin or similar sized wire cage.
It seems like a good cage to me! Its definetly big enough, the only thing to worry about is the hamster chewing the plastic. Try reading the comments at the bottom of the page where people that bought it wrote their comments.
Good luck with your cage and hamster!=)
good enough, although certain parts may break with time with improper handling. to prevent the wheel from squeaking too loudly, which happens most of the time, oil the wheel and it does the trick
we have that and its really great. and super cute. and no. it wont break easily or be chewed through. thats just ridiculous. its best to get a plastic cage because there is less draft and it can keep your hamster warm. plus the top has a vent so yes it can breathe. it has a under layer where the hamster can stay and sleep then stairs that go up to the food, water, and wheel. its pretty cool.
it's fine, i like the crittertrail X and the Dazzle, all wheels are noisy, just oil the hub or move it to another room at night.
its a very good cage! My friend has the blue one and I have the pink one and as long as my hamsters have chew toys they dont chey on it, it stays together neither of us have had a problem, the wheel is not noisy, and there is defiently enough room I keep 2 dwarf hamsters in it, and both my hamsters and I love it. =]
