Is red corn safe to feed a guinea pig?

Answers:
Like damiana112 said, the make-up of the corn hasn't changed just because the colour has. Corn in itself is fine to feed to a guinea pig so I do not see why not. Corn does not have much nutritional value for guinea pigs so you are better off just giving your piggy the silks and the husks and eating the rest yourself.
The makeup of corn is no different whatever it's color. If you feed your guinea pig yellow corn, you can feed it any color corn you want.
Any corn is safe to feed a guinea pig, preferably on the cob, cooked. Even though corn is a part of many guinea pig diets, especially the cheaper brands, the hard corn (of any color) is
not the guinea pig's favorite. They love cooked corn though and will even try munching on the cob.
No corn is safe for your pig. Although some pellets contain corn products, those are the ones that need to be avoided.
Corn is high in sugar, starch and fat. It may also contain a toxin that can cause liver failure. Not to mention, the choking factor. Avoid all corn and corn products.
Corn husks and silks are good to feed your pigs, just eat the actual corn yourself.
Please, NO corn!
Another answerer also said she gives her piggies cooked corn ~ Guinea Pigs shouldn't have their food cooked or be given canned or frozen foods, either!
