Is it ok to give hedgehogs around 3 baths in a week or does it give the hedgie dry skin?

I just recently got a hedgehog and i give him a bath very often sometimes more then 3 times a week because that seems to be the only way to calm him down, so i was wondering may i be giving him dry skin because i have also recognized him inching all the sudden but he seems to like the baths and calms him down and he does this little thing where he pancakes. So If you can please help. Thanx!

Hedgehogs are really good swimmers, so if yours enjoys a bath, go for it! I had one that loved to swim too. Lots of baths can result in dry skin, but other than that they're perfectly okay.
For dry skin, use olive oil! Apply the olive oil with an eye dropper to get the oil in between the quills and on the skin. About 5-10 drops should be enough over his shoulders, back, sides, and rump. Try using the olive oil about once a week or whenever you see his skin looking dry and flaky, and then go ahead and let him enjoy bath time!
He might have mites.
Or dry skin.
First, try rubbing a little olive oil on his skin and see if that helps.
You should take him to the vet. He might have a bug. But yes, if you bathe him too much, it could cause dry skin. You really should only bathe them about once a week, not even. The vet will know...:P
