Is it okay to play with my baby hamsters?

I have a campbells russian dwarf hamster. I need info on these hamsters. Also, she had 5 babies about 2 or 3 weeks after buyin her. Their eyes are all open, and they all (exept the runt) are eating regular food and mama milk. They are moving more from the tit to the food and water bottle. Can i touch them? They dont look like little pink peanuts anymore. They look like hamsters. Please inform me!

Well at 21 days the pups should be off mums milk, and at 28 days the mum and pups should be separated and be put in separate sex cages, at about 18 days you can remove mum and pups and clean the cage for the first time after birth. After the pups are moved into separate sex cages, then you can start to handle them, just don't handle them too much, you don't want to stress them out.
totally y would u not? i mean they r sooooo cute!
it kind of depends on the mama. some will let you hold the babies others will eat them after you put them back. usually after they are weaned is the best time to start handeling them. it shouldnt be long.
yes you should be able to soon if the mom lets you
I'd wait until they are completely distance from the mother. If they still partially depend on her milk, she might not accept them back if you touch them, and even though they rely more on real food, they wouldn't function right. You'll know when they're ready because the mother might start to attack them when she's done nurturing them and being their mother. That's when you seperate them all into different cages.
if they are independent and do not need the mothers milk then yes
heck no !! if you touch them and the mama smells the scent on their babies, she will eat them no matter what. i think you should be able to hold them at 4 wks and it would defidentally be ok. good luck with your hamsters
no not yet wait 4 like a week cause the mom is very protected and if u touch it the mom might end up killing it so just wait a while
i would other wise the mom will eat them!
you can but for safty catiouns wear plastic gloves to not get the human scent on the babies because they are still developing at an early stage or just wait until they seprate from their mothers its your choice
Take this from a pro.
ABSOLUTELY NOT!
If you touch a baby animal of any kind(not a horse) the mother will stop feeding it.
Wait until they aren't feeding from the mother at all.
